A former Moto2 race winner  and  2013 Moto3 World Champion, Maverick Vinales is tipped to be one of the riders lined up to be great contenders for the championship in the next couple of years, according to MotoGP vets.

Finishing all six races this season, following his 7th place finish at Mugello last timeout, Cal Crutchlow of CWM LCR Honda Motogp told Crash.net about his teammates' immense potential.

"Vinales is a very, very good rider, very smooth and will be really hard to beat in MotoGP in a couple of years."

Danilo Petrucci likewise concurred to Cal about the impressive Team Suzuki Ecstar rookie. When Crash.net. asked him who's the most difficult rider to battle, he said "Probably Vinales. In four of the six races I had to battle with him in the last few laps. He rides very clear and he doesn't suffer the tyre consumption. That's why it's hard to keep him behind in the end of the race".

The Octo Pramac Racing rider also picked Vinales as the rider who has done better, so far.

So it means that Mack is growing and learning very fast this season, showing he got the speed and drive to be one of the brightest stars in the future.

Although in the first five races he struggled a bit because he still learning the correct riding style suitable for the GSXRR of Team Suzuki Ecstar, but gradually as the season progresses, he is adapting pretty quickly as the team expected from him. In the last race at Mugello where they had a Chassis upgrade, his teammate Aleix Espargaro stumbled, while Maverick managed to finish the race in 7th place.

This weekend at Catalunya Monster Energy Grand Prix, Team Suzuki Ecstar will have an engine upgrade. With this change, it is expected that they will be taken closer to the front runners, giving them a bit of chance to fight for the podium finishes. And perhaps, with a little time and hardwork, they will be competitive enough.
