Lee Min Ho is the only South Korean actor whose name appears in a list of highest grossing concerts in China. Released by China's Cultural Industry Research Center, the report mainly consists of Chinese performers.

Min Ho is one of the most popular Korean actors in China, with more than 27 million followers on popular Chinese social media platform Weibo. When he performed in Guangzhou on Oct. 26, 2014 and Shanghai on Nov. 01, 2014, around 7,000 and 10,000 fans reportedly attended the concerts, respectively.

The two concerts in China were part of Min Ho's global RE:MINHO tour. It was organized to support his mini-album "Song for You," featuring five songs and one instrumental track. The actor not only performed but also engaged with the audience at the concerts.

Min Ho first gained popularity in China when he starred in the hugely popular Korean drama "Boys Over Flower." This year in April, the actor was in China to film a commercial, and according to reports, the production team was not prepared to handle the deluge of fans. They had to halt the filming when the fans tried to get close to the filming set. Min Ho's agency Starhaus Entertainment said that they did not expect that so many fans would find the location and come to see the filming of the commercial. The shoot, however, completed without any unfortunate incident.

Min Ho has yet to sign a new drama after "The Heirs" that aired in 2013 but is set to star in an action-adventure movie "Bounty Hunters." It is a Chinese-Korean co-venture, and the budget is expected to be around USD 31 million, making it one of the expensive movies. The film is schedule to release in 2016.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old actor is taking the legal route to stop a face-pack company from selling Lee Min Ho's Hempseed Oil Pack. The package features the Min Ho's image from his SBS Korean drama "Faith" that aired in 2012.

"The packs violated his portrait rights and misleads many tourists visiting Korea," The Straits Times has quoted a rep. of his agency as saying. "Lee took legal action against the companies as the products began to be exported, spreading the damages overseas."
