Speculations arose that after trading Ersan Ilyasova for the Detroit Pistons' Caron Butler and Shawne Williams, the Milwaukee Bucks are now eyeing to acquire a veteran free agent center to complement their young core. Two names are emerging from the rumors and they are the Nets' Brook Lopez and the Mavericks' Tyson Chandler, as per ESPN.

Both seven-footers are set to become unrestricted free agents this summer, with Lopez having a player option.

The 27-year-old Lopez is an offensive-minded pivot who has career averages of 17.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 1.3 apg. Being in the league for seven seasons, he has the skills and experience not only to become Jason Kidd's potential starter but also to mentor the Bucks current roster of young big men such as Jabari Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Miles Plumlee.

Lopez is literally a huge addition for the Bucks as he adds ceiling and strength to the undersized centers of the team as well as much needed defense.

However, it would not be an easy deal to pull off as Brooklyn's GM Billy King had made it clear that they want to keep Lopez as a Net for the long term.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old Chandler may be five years older but he is a better all-around defender and shot blocker. He is also a stronger voice in the locker room that could provide leadership to Kidd's young players.

Other than that, Kidd knows him very well as the coach played and won a championship with him in Dallas in 2011.

Chandler is a 14-year veteran who averages 8.8 points and 9.3 rebounds. Although his numbers are not really striking, he could impact a game merely by his presence inside the paint. He also provides the toughness that Kidd's current crop of big men somehow lacks.

According to SB Nation, adding Lopez or Chandler to the Bucks' starting lineup could do a lot of wonders for this team in the postseason. With Parker and Antetokounmpo at the wings, a solid presence in the middle would make their front court match the other front lines of the Eastern Conference.

Sports World Report mentioned that if both options fail for Milwaukee, then they are planning to propose a deal to acquire the Indiana Pacers' Roy Hibbert. The Pacers tried to shop Hibbert around last July and there were hearsays that the management might do it again this year.
