The New York Knicks are reportedly willing to trade their no. 4 pick in the coming 2015 NBA Draft if their top three prospects of Karl-Anthony Towns, Jahlil Okafor, and D'Angelo Russell are no longer available, according to Fansided's Cody Williams.

Williams cited that Knicks president Phil Jackson is not interested in anyone else besides the three upcoming rookies mentioned above. Furthermore, in keeping with mock drafts, there is a high probability that none of those three would be around when the fourth pick is called on June 25, which escalates the possibility of the rumor.

ESPN's Ian Begley reported that the Knicks are set to work out three first rounders that are projected to be selected outside the top five. The three are Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky, Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein, and UCLA's Kevon Looney.

Just the notion that Jackson and the Knicks are looking closely to these players clearly indicates that they are considering to trade their fourth pick for a lower one if any deal is appealing.

Bleacher Report's Andrew Gould indicated that the Knicks are closely talking with the Denver Nuggets for a possible pick swap. New York is said to be asking for a Ty Lawson or Kenneth Faried package with the Nuggets' no. 7 pick for their no. 4, although no official statements are released yet. Jackson is reportedly keen on drafting Willie-Cauley Stein or Justise Winslow at no. 7 as long as it comes with an additional asset that would provide long term value to his team.

Team insiders say that Latvia's 7-foot-1 "man of mystery" Kristaps Porziņģis and Congo-American point guard Emmanuel Mudiay are also on the outside looking in to be included in Derek Fisher's lineup, but they can be selected using lower picks as well.

Jackson had never been tested during lotteries as he was not accustomed to handling rebuilding teams. His old Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers teams are already well-established championship contenders. There were unconfirmed reports saying that the Zen Master wants "a shortcut to relevancy" for the Knicks, and he wants to accomplish that through trades and free agent signings.

A lot of elite-level talents are going to be available this July, such as Marc Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, Jimmy Butler, and Greg Monroe. New York might make a pitch to anyone of them by the time free agency period starts.
