Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder Sven Bender is thought to switch to London this summer. The 26-year old defensive midfielder is earning €3 million per year at Signal Iduna Park. Although Bender doesn't get a much appearance on the team, his potential can't go unnoticed.

Arsenal FC could be the club where he can able to show his real capability because of a fair amount of playing time he's expected to have with the first team. Also, switching at the Emirates might increase his paycheck than what he is having at Borussia Dortmund.

Bender was also included on the German national team under Joachim Löw. He regularly operates at the position, where Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira play. He is an efficient passer from the opposition and also played very physical. He was also a solid tacker and as well as very physical on the air.

However, Arsenal FC is not settling down with one option as they are also in contention for another midfielder. With Francis Coquelin their only solid holding midfielder on the team, they are also targeting the Southampton FC defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, per Bleacher Report. However, Sven Bender would rate less than £25 million compared to other in-demand holding midfielder in England.

Manager Arsene Wenger has used so many known players on that area, including Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta, but he still thought it's still inadequate despite the fact many people believed that the Arsenal FC manager was making a wrong move in using two midfielders at the same time everytime he faced the top clubs in the Premier League.

Coming from a big and experience club in Germany where he has won two Bundesliga title and one DFB Pokal Championships during his stint at Signal Iduna Park. Sven Bender was customized to play on the highest stage of the competitions, but with a fair share of injuries over the past couple of season. He was not included on the 2014 German national team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

He just made 14 starts last season in Bundesliga, as well as six more appearances from the bench, Arsenal FC has faith he can improve the team with his defensive capabilities in the midfield position.
