Valentine's Day isn't just for people who love bondage and butt plugs, it's also for moviegoers who believe that God has a way of bringing two people together.

On Valentine's Day 2015, the highly-anticipated, sexually-charged flick, "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be shown in theaters alongside its cleaner counterpart, a faith-based romantic indie film called "Old Fashioned."

Rik Swartzwelder, both star and director of the small-budget film, acts opposite Elizabeth Ann Roberts.

The story revolves around a former frat boy and a free-spirited woman who discover that love can be found the old-fashioned way, in God's time and with God's providence.

Swartzwelder shared that it is "a story that, without apology, explores the possibility of a higher standard in relationships; yet, is also fully aware of just how fragile we all are and doesn't seek to heap guilt upon those of us that have made mistakes."

Since both "Old Fashioned" and "Fifty Shades of Grey" are premiering on Valentine's Day, it's pretty difficult to overlook the discrepancies between the two movies which claim to be romantic dramas.

Although "Old Fashioned" goes against what "Fifty Shades of Grey" has to offer (i.e., the movie's assurance that there is enough space for Jesus between the two leads), the movie is clearly riding on the current popularity of the erotic film.

Whether or not religion is your thing or whether or not you want to see his faith-based drama, Swartzwelder finds comfort in the fact that he's turned his belief into art and, maybe that's enough for him.

At least the actor-director does understand where his movie stands. It is, after all, "a modestly budgeted indie flick" competing against "a multi-million dollar studio film."  There might not even be a competition to speak of.

However, with a tagline like "Chivalry makes a comeback," maybe the romantic religious might just head off to theaters on Valentine's after all.
