Google Glass slipped into obscurity after the company figured out the tech was not up to scratch, but it seems the search giant is returning back to the forefront again with another shot.

This new version is called the A4R-GG1, and it is suspected to be a newer version of Glass since it was logged by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FFC). The FCC is there to test consumer electronic products to make sure they are safe, so it would make sense the latest version of Google Glass would find its way there first.

Not much was revealed about the device, but it was clear that it was not viewed as a smartphone or tablet. What we do know is that it comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an inbuilt battery.

It is very much possible the mystery device is just another wearable from Google, but we're betting it's a rejuvenated Google Glass, and here to hoping it can compete with Microsoft HoloLens. We say this because the Microsoft device is packing a small field of view, so we expect increased competition to force the engineers to find a way to increase it.

Latest rumors have claimed that Google is working on a host of products with the Glass branding, and not just a head-mount display. We expect the company to address the failures and concerns of the first generation device in order to make sure this version works and is not scary to the public.

Due to the public's perception of Google Glass and its users who they refer to ass "Glassholes," Google was forced to create a guide on how to use the device in public.

The first version of Google Glass was released back in 2014 for $1,000 to those who were willing to play around with unfinished technology. It came on the scene with a lot of buzz but ultimately left with a whimper.
