On July 9, rampant reports surfaced on the web involving former EXO member, Luhan. The reports claim that Luhan had been wed secretly back in March and is even a father to a young boy. Luhan has kept silent despite the malicious reports, but has now spoken up against the rumors.

The reports of Luhan having undergone a secret marriage and being a father to one had first appeared on the Chinese website, Sohu. While the report had not directly named Luhan, it was obvious it was referring to the former EXO pop star. The report reads: ""L" who is a former Korean idol and currently working in China became a father. "L" registered for marriage in March when it was his girlfriend's birthday."

According to representatives of Luhan, the basis of the report was merely through a rumor started on the Chinese messenger application, Weixin. The said netizen involved had spread the malicious rumors, for reasons unknown.

"This morning a user of Weixin wrote about a young star 'L' becoming a father. It lead to many rumors that are groundless and they have spread without being confirmed. These malicious and baseless rumors have affected Luhan quite negatively," stated the official statement on Luhan's rep's' Weibo account.

"Luhan doesn't have a Korean girlfriend like the rumors say and it is untrue that he has gotten married and had a child," added the statement in a report by Soompi.

Following the groundless reports made against Luhan, the former EXO member is planning to take a legal action against those involved. Aside from the deletion of the story, Luhan's rep requests an apology from the website and the netizen who had spread the reports, according to TVDaily.

Ironically, the rumors come at a great time after Luhan had successfully nabbed a role in the Hollywood-Chinese produced film, "The Great Wall." For dedicated fans of Luhan, it would appear that the spiteful reports are a way of Luhan's haters to bring him down.

This of course would not affect Luhan's career. Aside from the Hollywood action adventure film, Luhan has already signed up for three other films, a few Chinese television series, advertisements, and a mobile application.
