South Korean actor-singer-host Lee Seung Gi is set to make an appearance on a new Korean reality-variety show that is expected to reunite the cast members of "1 Night 2 Days."

Soompi confirmed that Seung Gi has agreed to star in the new show that is going to be helmed by PD Na Young Suk. Seung Gi, 28, was a permanent cast member of "1 Night 2 Days" from November 2007 to February 2012.

The new reality variety show is going to be created for an online medium and will not air on a broadcast channel. Soompi reported that the production team had a talk with Seung Gi and MC Kang Ho Dong, who is working on the new show along with Young Suk, about the new format and the challenges that they would like to handle.

Seung Gi will be joining his former "1 Night 2 Days" cast members Lee Soo Geun and Eun Ji Won, if the latter two also sign on to appear on the show. CJ E&M stated that Soo Geun and Ji Won are discussing the project with the production team.

The broadcast date has not yet been announced. According to reports, the filming is set to take place outdoors, and the cast will only consist of four members.

"I don't know when but I want to launch [the show] as soon as possible," Soompi quoted Young Suk as saying to news outlet OSEN, adding that it will be a outdoor variety show. He also said that he regularly met Seung Gi and Ho Dong and talked about reuniting "1 Night 2 Days" cast members.

Meanwhile, Seung Gi, who was also the host of talk show "Strong Heart" from 2009 to 2012, has been concentrating more on his acting career. He recently made a cameo appearance on "The Producers," a drama that revolved around the lives of PDs working in a variety division of a broadcast channel.

Seung Gi recently returned to his musical roots, releasing a mini-album. The actor also made his movie debut earlier this year in January, playing the male protagonist in Korean movie "Love Forecast." The actor has yet to announce his next television drama.
