The search is still on to find the lead actress to be cast opposite Park Hae Jin in the television adaptation of the popular webtoon "Cheese in the Trap." The latest news is that, after Miss A's Suzy, actress Kim Go Eun has also turned down the offer to star in the upcoming drama.

Go Eun was one of the many actresses who was offered the role to star in "Cheese in the Trap," according to the rep. of the drama. The actress's management agency confirmed that she has declined the offer. Soompi quoted the agency as saying, "It is true that she was offered a role in 'Cheese in the Trap,' and it was one of the works that we were examining," adding, "It was a good original work so we gave it a lot of thought, but in the end, we decided to decline the offer."

Meanwhile, the drama's rep. said that they will be holding extra auditions, and depending upon the results, they will announce the name of the actress who will play the female lead protagonist in the much-anticipated drama. 

Miss A's Suzy, who also received the script of "Cheese in the trap," did not accept the role because of her busy music schedule. According to her representative, it was difficult to coordinate the singer-actress' music schedule and the drama's production schedule. A majority of netizens were happy that Suzy declined the offer to play the female protagonist, as according to them, she did not fit the role and was not capable of expressing a wide range of emotions.

And, when the news surfaced that Go Eun, who has earlier starred in "Monster" and "Memories of the Sword," was being considered for the role, there were mixed reactions online. Some thought she is all right while others did not see her as the female lead of "Cheese in the Trap."       

The only confirmed cast Hae Jin will be playing the mysterious and dark Yoo Jeong, and the actress, when cast, will be playing the thoughtful, ordinary Hong Seol. The drama will chronicle Yoo Jeong and Hong Seol's love and conflicts.

"Cheese in the Trap" is set to air on cable channel tvN sometime in October.
