Don't write Tiger Woods off just yet.

Despite a back injury that forced him to quit the Bridgestone Invitational last month, Woods is setting his sights at the last PGA Tour event and the championship that comes with it.

On Wednesday, Woods played the front nine games with Steve Stricker, Harris English and Davis Love III.

During the front nine, Woods gave an outstanding performance as he swung effortlessly in all ranges. Everything seemed normal, according to a report by USA Today.

In an interview, Woods said that he is ready and fit to play the major games of the season.

"I feel good. Once the bone was put back in, it's all good," said Woods.

The inflammation has faded and he said he could now move in different ranges of motion. Referring to his play in front nine, Woods said, "As you saw out there, I got my speed, my power."

He also confirmed that there was a bone that was realigned during his treatment.

Woods said he was not taking any pain medication or any type of cortisone shots, but he admitted that he was advised to take anti-inflammatory medication.

Woods suffered a back injury when he shot the second hole in the World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday. He, however, returned Tuesday to see if he is still fit to continue with the games.

Woods said he still aims to win even though his best finish for the season was a tie for the 25th. He only participated in three events because of his back surgery in March.

When asked how he think he could impress U.S. Captain Tom Watson to pick him for the Ryder Cup on Sept. 26-28, he just said he will "play well."

"That's the only thing I can control," Woods said. "Try to go out there and win this event. That's all I'm focused on. ... I played all right. Nothing great. It's only Wednesday - I want my good stuff to start tomorrow. I felt pretty good about how I played and the shots I hit."
