There are rumors that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will come packed with a 3D camera.

It is highly speculated that Microsoft will be launching the much anticipated Surface Pro 4 soon, which is also rumored to be available for sale this October.

The rumors further state that the device will be equipped with the new Sky Lake processors which will be fan less and consume less power. The device is also expected to be equipped with the upcoming Windows 10, KpopStarz reported. Microsoft is in talks with its production partners for the release of at least 4 million units of Surface Pro 4, The Tech Radar reported.

It was cited in a number of reports that the tablet-laptop-in-1 will definitely get a release date within this year, but it may be a remote possibility that it will be pushed back to 2016. The reason behind it is the production of fast 2 GB/s SSD chips from Samsung is still not finished yet.

It is assumed that the order will take half of next year to be entirely completed, and this might disappoint the consumers who are eagerly waiting for the device to be launched this year.

The device will be available in two variants - one will be a 12-inch device and the other will be a 14-inch device. The first one will be powered with a fan less Intel chip set and the second one will be powered with an i7 chip set, Realty Today reported.

The screen size of both variants will be different but their screen resolution will be exactly the same, which they will sport a 2K resolution. Both will be equipped with a storage capacity of 1 TB, a RAM of 16 GB plus an introductory price of $2000.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may also be the last device in this series if Satya Nadella's "One Microsoft Approach" comes to fruition. There are numerous rumors which proclaim that Nadella wants to drop the Surface Pro line, but with the imminent release of the upcoming device, it does not seem so.
