Halle Berry’s Extant Moved to a New Time Slot Due to Low Ratings

Halle Berry On Extant

Halle Berry's Extant has moved to a new time slot due to an unexpected dip in ratings which disappointed  the whole CBS management and production.

Extant is now shown on Wednesday at 10 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. This move is the result of a fairly significant decrease in ratings for Halle Berry's show.

The show premiered July 9th, however, considering that Steven Spielberg is one of the producers, the show just did not take off the way everyone may have expected.

Halle Berry, unfortunately, did not do so well with the demographic drawing a 1.7 rating which is very important to advertisers.

Under the Dome, CBS' series the previous year got a 3.3 rating which is way higher compared to that of Extant's.

This is Halle Berry's first role performing in small screen in a long time. She is amazing on the show and even added that she enjoyed filming the said series.

The actress was thrilled at working with Steven Spielberg and that she loved the role given to her.

Extant is an American sci-fi television series created by Mickey Fisher with Steven Spielberg as the executive producer.

Extant's production started on February 10, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Halle Berry plays the role of Molly Woods, an infertile astronaut who returns home after a year abroad who had seen her dead former lover on a Seraphim space station and is pregnant with no idea on how it might have happened.

With Molly is her husband, John Woods, played by Goran Visnjic, who helps her raise Ethan, a robot baby that her husband invented and is the head of the Humanichs Project.

In 2014, the series Extant was chosen for the Critics' Choice Television Awards for Most Exciting Series alongside six others series.

Management is looking forward to a better rating with the new time slot for Extant
