A 63-year old grandmother in Florida told her 7-year old grandson that he had a "surprise" for him.

The "surprise" turned out to be murder.

Martha White, who has been charged with first degree murder, told investigators on Tuesday afternoon that she killed her grandson, Mason Rhinehart, because she was "fed up" with the boy's mother.

Rhinehart was playing video games with his 8-year old brother Aiden at White's home at Killearn Lakes Plantation on Tuesday morning when White told the little boy that she had a "surprise" for him.

Upon hearing the promise of a surprise, Reinhart stood and followed his grandmother to the bathroom. White then locked the door and stabbed the little boy multiple times.

According to Aiden, he heard his younger brother screaming from inside the bathroom and pleading with their grandmother, saying, "Don't kill me, Grandma! I don't want to die!"

Scared, Aiden was prompted to call up his father, Zack White.

Zack White told the boy to pound on the bathroom door and call out Mason's name. There was no reply on the other side.

Zack White then told his son to find a place to hide.

The 8-year old narrated that before he saw Martha White leave with a bottle of wine, she said out loud that she had a surprise for him, too.

White headed to a nearby park after the murder. Officials found her a half-mile away from her home, covered with blood and carrying a bottle of wine and Xanax.

Lt. James McQuaig, Leon County Sheriff's Office spokesman, stated that although White has admitted to the killing, saying that she was just "fed up" with the mother of the two boys, it is too early in the investigation to determine the definite motive.

White is currently held behind bars without bond.

The case has been sent to a grand jury for review.
