Western Conference cellar-dweller Colorado Rapids (5-7-9) is scheduled to host Eastern Conference third placer Columbus Crew (8-8-7) at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on Saturday, August 8, as the 2015 Major League Soccer regular season resumes.

The hosts will try to keep a four-game unbeaten run against the visitors as the Rapids won three straight over the Crew prior to their most recent match, a 1-1 draw, in Colorado last year, as per the MLS official website.

Despite their extended stay at the bottom of the West, Pablo Mastroeni's men are feeling good these days following three consecutive wins in all of July. However, the Rapids were back in the losing end at home versus the LA Galaxy last Saturday, 1-3, as reported by SB Nation.

Meanwhile, the Black and Gold suffered a shocking 2-5 setback in the hands of Orlando City SC also last Saturday, via SkySports. It was quite an embarrassing loss for one of the powerhouses of the East, but head coach Gregg Berhalter is determined to come back in this game versus the Rapids.

Columbus has not beaten Colorado in their past four tries, though, as mentioned above, and that could be a real problem for Berhalter as he tries to motivate his wards after such a devastating loss.

Prediction: Either a 1-0 win for the Rapids or a 1-1 draw. Apart from the home field advantage, Colorado is on a roll while Crew SC is slightly in a slump right now.

Colorado Rapids starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Irwin; Moor, Watts, Burling, Riley; Powers, Cronin, Sarvas; Eloundou, Doyle, Sanchez

Columbus Crew starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Clark; Francis, Wahl, Parkhurst, Barson; Tchani, Trapp; Meram, Higuain, Finlay; Kamara
