Ex-EXO member Luhan continues to work on his first solo album -- not letting the legal tussle between him and his former management agency, S.M. Entertainment, hinder his professional growth.

The singer-actor, 25, posted a photo on his Weibo account, with the caption "Reloaded," the title of his solo album. In the photo, he is seen posing like a fighter ready to fire a machine gun. Korea Boo reported that the creation of Luhan's album is in the countdown phase. The release date has not yet been announced.

Luhan quit EXO last year in October and soon filed a lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment, seeking termination of his contract. The court has yet to give its verdict on this lawsuit, and in May, S.M. Entertainment turned down the offer to settle the matter out of the court. The Korean entertainment company has underscored again and again that Luhan cannot sign on solo endorsement deals and movie projects because the contract is still binding. The former EXO-M member, however, continues to defy that, and working on his first solo album is a clear sign that he does not care what his former agency's dictates.

Both the parties are scheduled to appear before a judge on Aug. 19. Last month, they once again failed to reach an agreement, and S.M. Entertainment filed a lawsuit against him and Kris, the leader of EXO-M who quit the group in May 2014, at a court in Beijing, Korea Boo reported.

Meanwhile, the news about Luhan's solo album has come on the heels of Tao making his solo debut, with his mini-album T.A.O. The latter is another EXO-M member who has stepped out of S.M. Entertainment and EXO umbrella. There is, however, one difference between these two former EXO mates. There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Luhan has exited Chinese-Korean idol group, but Tao has yet to officially confirm rumors about his departure from the group.

The departure from EXO has propelled Luhan's movie career. He is starring in American-Chinese science fiction action thriller "The Great Wall." This movie also stars Matt Damon and Andy Lau. The movie is scheduled to release on Nov. 23, 2016. Luhan made his movie debut this year in January with the movie "20 Once Again."
