After the sunscreen controversy that involved her Honest Company, Jessica Alba finally speaks up.

Jessica Alba has responded to the backlash that her sunscreen product has been getting. Customers who have purchased the product made by her Honest Company claimed that the sunscreen burnt their children after just being under the sun for a short period of time. Users have posted pictures of the burns to prove their claims.

The Honest Company released a response for all the negative comments that it has been getting. The 34-year-old personally responded in behalf of the company together with its co-founder Christopher Gavigan.

People reported that the actress finally spoke up and defended their sunscreen product. According to an Instagram post, she claimed that she used the organic sunscreen on her children, Honor and Haven.

"Protecting our loved ones and yours is the reason we founded @honest. As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our Sunscreen. We develop and use Honest Sunscreen to protect our own children - Honor, Haven, Luke, Evie, and Poppy - at the park, in the pool, outside, every day. As with everything we do, we take sun protection seriously here at Honest," Jessica Alba said in a post.

In another report by Daily Mail, Alba said that their sunscreen went through high standards of testing prior to its release. She claimed that their previous sunscreen apparently had just 40-minute water resistance. This feedback was reportedly given by the customers. Thus, the company created a new formula for it to last longer.

"Based on our own experience and consumer feedback, we redesigned our Sunscreen Lotion for 80-minute water resistance and an improved formulation that allows for easier application and a lighter-weight feel," Alba said. "Our team is reaching out to everyone who has posted on social media to assure you that we're committed to your safety and satisfaction. For those who have expressed concerns about our Sunscreen Lotion, we want you to know that we hear you and we're here for you. As always, we'll do what it takes to make it right."

The reports add that the actress has been personally reaching out to her customers to make amends from the controversy that was brought upon by their product.
