EA Sports has added new features to "FIFA 15," the football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts.

The new features are intended to give players added drama and enhance their football experience.

The game developer was given access to all the Premiere League clubs to create true-to-life stadiums; capture 3D scans of more than 200 new football players for more realistic models and recreate the ambience of the pitch by recording live match atmosphere.

"We've got a level of content that we've never done in one year before," FIFA 15 senior producer Nick Channon told Computer and Video Games.

"We already had eight Premier League stadiums within the game, so we're adding 12 new ones."

Developers recorded the roar of audiences at several Premiere League matches to convey realistic crowd-specific mantras and the viewers' reactions to whistles, goals and misses.

"The emotion and feeling of the game not only comes from what the players are doing on the pitch, but from the crowd audio as well," said Channon.

FIFA 15 will provide important game information to gamers through "broadcast quality overlay graphics," which Channon said adds a certain degree of authenticity to the game.

Information that will be provided include formations, team sheets, the clock, the score and upcoming fixtures.

The game will also implement the Premiere League Goal Decision System, which was enforced in the real-life 2013-2014 season.

A senior producer said it helps create a more realistic experience for gamers. The player won't see it often but if there's a debatable call, the goal decision system changes the feeling of the game dramatically.

Game developers also added a slight delay when off-sides are called to build-up drama. They are trying to mimic the calls in real-life such as a goal being scored then rebuked because a player was off-side.

FIFA 15 is set to launch on Sept. 25 for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and PCs.
