It's a question that NBA fans all over the world have been debating amongst themselves for years now: Who would win in a 1-on-1 match, Lebron James or Michael Jordan?

The debate was revived recently when Michael Jordan participated in a Q&A with some fans. Questions like "who is the best trash talker he ever played against?" (Obvious answer: Larry Bird) were asked, but the most controversial question of the day was whether he could beat James in their respective primes. For Jordan, the answer is obvious: he could beat Lebron James "No Question". While he had mentioned previously he is aware of the obvious size advantage Lebron has on him, Jordan has one spectacular advantage that nobody has: He is Michael Jordan.

Lebron James fired back in a recent interview with TODAY's Willie Geist that he'd "take himself". This interview also discussed Lebron's summer in which he took up acting in the recent movie "Trainwreck" as well as pledging to send 1,100 kids through college at the University of Akron.

It is no surprise that James and Jordan took themselves in the match. Both have great confidence in their abilities, simultaneously claiming that they themselves are the "best in the world"

It's hard to decide who would win and who would lose in this hypothetical debate. While James has the clear size advantage over Jordan, nobody has ever been able to topple Jordan in his prime. Their confidence in their abilities is what makes both of them the top of their game, and fans will just have to accept that the debate might never be answered.

Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to 6 rings in 6 final appearances in his time, holding playoff averages of 33.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 5.7 ASG. On the other hand, Lebron James has been to the finals 5 times, but has only won twice. He holds playoff averages of 28.2 PPG, 8.8 RPG, and 6.7 APG. James has plenty more years of competitive basketball before he hangs up the laces for good.
