Android Lollipop Update: Android Lollipop 5.1.1 Release for Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is being rolled out for Samsung Note 4.

Google started to roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade in April, which included bug fixes and also patches to resolve various problems that are present with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was first released for all the Nexus devices and Samsung got its chance in June onwards. Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S5 are already running on the latest version of Android operating system.

Samsung Galaxy 4 users are finally going to receive the long awaited upgrade of Android Lollipop 5.1.1, according to The Uber Gizmo. 

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users can enjoy a faster and more efficient device after the upgrade is done in their device. Android Lollipop 5.1.1 is sized at 615 MB, which is a bit heavy. Hence, it will take about an hour for the device to complete the download and then install the upgrade, according to news reports by Neuro Gadget.

The user must be connected to a reliable Wi-Fi connection in order to download this, and the device must consist of at least 50 percent battery. This update will mainly focus on the bug fixes and enhancements, and the removal of the bug "Stagefright", which seems to plaguing many Android devices these days. It will also bring a security fix, message waiting indicator fix, and other miscellaneous bug fixes.

To check the update manually the users can follow these steps:

Settings -> About device -> Check for updates -> Download update

Since it is an over the air update, so it will not be sent simultaneously for all the devices. Users can check their devices with the method mentioned above in order to see if the update is available to them or not.

The latest Android operating system - Android M is scheduled to release shortly and it is expected that by then all the devices will boast of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.
