LaMarcus Aldridge complained he didn't like having to get used to a new city in San Antonio, home of his new team, the Spurs.

Aldridge joined the  Portland Trail Blazers at age 20 and left as an unrestricted free agent in July for his new team and city at a ripe 30.

The power forward said he once got lost like twice in a day in San Antonio and doesn't think that's fun.

However, Aldridge believes his adjustment on the court with the Spurs should be seamless.

Aldridge said he sees a lot of easy shots with the way Popovich designed plays and says that his new coach is good at misdirection. He added that his teammates are so unselfish and make the ball move around.

Many felt that adding Aldridge to their lineup immediately makes the Spurs championship contenders.

The title chase was also the reason why he joined the Spurs, after failing to make it past the second round of the playoffs during his time with the Blazers.

Aldridge is among the NBA's elite post players, with only Al Jefferson finishing more possessions in the post.

He was also the second more effective behind Jonas Valanciunas among players with at least 300 post possessions.

Experts ascribe his effectiveness with his versatility in creating his shots in the mid post.

He can go over his right shoulder to shoot fadeaways or push a defender with his left shoulder to launch his shot.
He can also drive past defenders who guard him too closely.

Aldridge also has awesome range, connecting 40 percent outside of 10 feet from the basket last season.

He has also developed a three-pointer and had started taking more attempts from beyond the arc last season that in his previous eight combined and connecting on a solid 35 percent.
