Will the US theatrical release of "Dragon Blade" also have a massive reception? The success of the movie early this year in China was phenomenal. The Silk Road storyline based action film starred by Jackie Chan, Adrien Brody, and John Cusack was much celebrated. Again, the Chinese audience was enthralled with the historical background and East-collides-with-the-West plot.

Director Daniel Lee said during his interview with Movie Insider that he is expecting the American movie goers to be just as enthralled as the Chinese audience. Not only do they have amazing fight scenes and plot, but he is confident that the charm of Jackie Chan is still quite alive.

Huo An (Jackie Chan), the commander of the Western Region's Protection Squad in the Han Dynasty was faced with a dilemma. Tiberius (Adrien Brody), a corrupt Roman leader is set to travel to China via the Silk Road.

With the impending trouble, Huo An and his elite warriors decided to join forces with other Roman soldiers. Their allies are led by General Lucius (John Cusack), whose goal is to maintain the balance of power in the east. Huo An's desire to protect his nation led him to having new friends.

According to Ace Showbiz, Chan is also one of the producers of "Dragon Blade." The reviews from China were mostly positive, and much praise has been directed to Daniel Lee's manner in directing the entire film.  Critics were quite satisfied with the technical details on the massive battle scenes.

Truly, the blend of East Asian and Hollywood style in making movies was perfected in this film. "The manner of storytelling was also captivating, a colossal entertainment with solid technique and should be much applauded for the overall result", that was how Clarence Tsui of the Hollywood Reported described the film.

"Dragon Blade" will be released on September 4, 2015, in US cinemas.
