Photoshopping doesn't seem to be helping anyone.

Kate Upton recently shared in an interview with Details magazine that models get retouched on print and that not only do other women get depressed by those fake images, models feel like they can't get live up to them either.

Upton isn't a stranger to criticisms when it comes to weight. She actually feels that people like her even more because she isn't skinny. She reiterated that retouched photos just aren't realistic and women shouldn't be forced to live up to such an impossible task.

"I love my body and I feel very confident with where I am and who I am as a person," she added.

However, the 21-year old model also shared that she hasn't always been secure with her own looks. Like most women, she also had to struggle with accepting her own body.

Upton shared that being an inspiration to other women inspired her to be more accepting of herself. She wanted to show other people that she could "make it to the other end," especially with millions of women rooting for her.

She said that body image is an issue that she understands very well and also feels what other women feels, although her weight is the subject of global entertainment news.

Although Upton is considered as a bombshell at such a young age, she has opted not to pose nude like supermodels who have come before her. She said that although she considers tasteful nudity as art, people might not get the message she is sending and instead sexualize her photographs.

According to Upton, "With social media and the Internet and not so great blogs and the attention like that, I don't think that my pictures would be received in the way that I'd want them to be received."
