A closer look at One Direction's history reveals that the band's five years of being together has been fruitful enough. However, there are some rumors that the band members might be disbanding for good.  There are also some reports that the band is just going to take a break, for them to focus on their personal endeavors.

According to Enstarz, fans don't need to be distraught because Niall himself revealed in a tweet that they are not splitting up. One Direction may have lost one great member, but the rest of them remain together.

"Ok so lots of  rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year," Niall said on his twitter account. He further added that they just want a hiatus because they are ambitious and want to focus on their personal goals as individuals.

Sky News reports that the other band members, Luis and Liam, were both glad that the disbanding issue has been cleared up by Niall's tweet.

"So glad everything has been cleared up today and ur support with it is amazing not that we could ever expect anything less your amazing."

"Thank you so much for everything you have done for us it's been the most amazing five years and there's so much more to come," tweeted Liam on his official Twitter account.

The tweets made by the band only prove that they are still going to work on more projects. Even after Zayn Malik's departure, there is no bad blood amongst the band members. The last concert that the boys will have before their one year break will be on Halloween, Oct. 31, in Sheffield England. They are also going to release an album in the first quarter of 2016.

Other sources reveal that the boys will have solo projects, and many of those does not include singing.
