Utah prep star guard Frank Jackson chose to commit to the Duke Blue Devils  for the chance to join Coach Mike Krzyzewski whom he admires because of his winning ways.

Jackson added that it's hard to pass up a chance to join a winning program and that he feels Krzyzewski will give him the best chance to get to the next level.

Other collegiate teams that he considered were the BYU  Cougars, Utah Utes, Arizona Wildcats and  Stanford Cardinal.

The No. 14 player in the Class of 2016, Jackson initially committed to BYU in 2013, but decommitted the following year.

Jackson said that decommitting to BYU is one of the hardest things he's ever done in his life.

Jackson, who is from  Alpine, Utah, is an athletic and versatile combo guard who could serve both as a scorer and playmaker for Duke, according to ESPN.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Jackson  averaged 27.0 points per game for Lone Peak High School and nearly 24 points per game in the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet travel circuit.

Jackson will also forego a planned Mormon mission to suit up for  Duke in 2016.

His original plan was to portpone the start of his college basketball career to 2018 so he could serve a mission.

However, Jackson said that doing a mission is still a possibility and Coach Krzyzewski  has approved of that.

Jackson joins No. 2 overall player and five-star forward Jayson Tatum in the Duke class of 2016.

In July, Tatum chose Duke over St. Louis Billikens, Kentucky Wild Cats and North Carolina Tar Heels after hearing coach Krzyzewski's recruiting pitch.

According to Bleacher Report, the said duo could join top prospect Harry Giles to give  Krzyzewski  yet another formidable lineup.
