The character has been the subject of many jokes, including the most common ones that refer to him as "one of the weakest because he's only good in water." This is definitely not the case particularly in the Aquaman comics that were written by DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.

"It's cute and funny, people make fun of him, there's a bunch of jokes about him, but I'm like, 'Just wait. Let's just wait a little bit, and then you can make jokes,'" says Momoa.
