A recent update on Snapchat makes its rounds in the web. This feature lets the mobile app users to animate their shots whenever their phones are on a selfie mode.

According to an online publication, TechCrunch.com, this feature comes with its latest acquisition of Looksery, a selfie animation app that was used to be available from the App Stores. However, the team was not able to get any official confirmation from Snapchat itself as its authorized representatives seemed to decline to verify or comment specifically on the figures involved in the said gain.

With this filtering feature, the mobile user can take a personal shot then choose among the available lenses to help him take his snaps to real life. Such 'lenses' will turn up automatically once the smartphone camera is ready to give you a selfie shot - distorting your face in many ways (i.e. making you look older, adding some animated effects or sounds, etc.). All these and more have made this app upgrade exceptionally cool to use and make fun with.

The Guardian included in its report that through Snapchat's facial recognition technology, it is able to rework and adjust the user's face in real-time, giving him or her some 'frankly terrifying' results. Initial reports showed that there are only seven lenses that are readily available in the first batch. However, it is also anticipated that the messaging app firm is certain in giving its users variety in the long run -- giving everyone lots of reasons to get addicted and constantly check back.
