Singer Ciara broke off her engagement with The Future after finding out that the 30-year old rapper cheated. The former couple was together for over a year before The Future popped the question to the "Body Party" singer during her birthday last October 2013.

Ciara just gave birth to their son, Future Zahir Wilburn last May.

An insider told Us Weekly that Ciara, a close friend of reality star Kim Kardashian, is devasted, but is trying her best to put all her attention on her son.

Another source close to the 28-year old singer shared that The Future did cheat on Ciara and that it's "game over".

One of the singer's friends shared that Ciara feels like the most stupid person in the world for believing that The Future was true to her. "All of her friends told her he was no good from the jump. They all told her not to trust him, but she was in love and she ignored all her friends who warned her about him," Ciara's friend added.

Ciara's friend shared that although they didn't like the rapper from the beginning, she understood where her friend was coming from. Love can make a person do things they're not supposed to, her friend shared.

Her friend believes that the singer will give the ring back to The Future because what it represented has turned out to be a lie.

It is unlikely that Ciara found out about her former partner's affair last June. She uploaded a photo of their baby last mid-June and captioned it "Hey Dad aka Big @Future. Baby Future Loves You. #HappyFathersDay." 

When previously asked about her wedding, the former bride-to-be shared with "Brides" magazine that they had already set a wedding date, but they weren't going to go public with it. She also called The Future "my best friend in the world, my partner".

"For my wedding, I'm going to do elegance with a little edge," shes said in the interview.
