Robin Williams’ Longtime Friend And Assistant Discovered His Shocking Bedroom Death Scene

Last Tuesday, it was confirmed by the Marin County Sheriffs that Robin Williams' own longtime assistant discovered his shocking death scene on Monday.

The National ENQUIRER has reported the details as to how the actor's close friend and confidante, Rebecca Erwin Spencer, came across his body and knew that it was the end of their professional and personal relationship.

According to neighbors, Spencer had been at the actor's home in Tiburon, California on Tuesday morning.

"She went into the house for a few minutes before someone in the house let her out of the garage and she left quickly," an eyewitness said.

The 57-year-old assistant went back to her nearby house at around 4:30 in the afternoon and neighbors have claimed that she has been going in and out of the actor's house since his death.

Specifically, a Prius with a plate registered to her name was spotted more than a few times at Williams' property.

According to Lieutenant Keith Boyd, the actor was not responding to Spencer who was knocking on his bedroom door. The assistant was able to enter Williams' room and found him in a seated position, clothed but unresponsive. A belt was securely tied around his neck while the other end was wedged between the door and its frame.

A number of "superficial cuts" were also found on Williams' left wrist along with a bloody knife near his seated body.

Boyd also specified the actor's conditions at that time, saying, "Mr. Williams at that time was cool to the touch, with rigor mortis present in all of his extremities, and livor mortis positioned appropriately for the position he was located in."

A highly troubled Spencer called 9-1-1 at around 11:55 a.m., and the authorities arrived almost immediately after to declare the actor dead.

A few days before his shocking death, Williams had been spotted at a meeting for Alcoholics Anonymous in San Francisco.

An AA member by the name of Argus Hamilton told the Sun newspaper that the actor had gotten out of rehab and seemed sober at the time of their meeting on a Saturday.

This summer, Williams was also reported to spend some rehab time at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center's The Lodge.

According to the Marin County Sheriffs, more details will be disclosed after toxicology reports are delivered within five to six weeks.

Meanwhile, the actor's personal assistant has garnered considerable support from family members, friends, and social media users alike. Last Tuesday, Spencer took to Facebook and posted a picture of Williams when he was still on a USO tour with a caption: "What a time we had".

Last January, the actor himself tweeted about his assistant when she took a photo of a play performance for Williams.
