Other advocates of the proposal are hoping to put it before a referendum on November.

If approved, the proposal will make Silicon Valley the wealthiest of the among the six, followed by San Francisco that will be composed of technological hubs.

If Silicon Valley will be a state, its income per capita is expected to be about US$63,288, which is twice the per capita income of California's poorest region and one-third higher than total per capita income of California.

Taylor's report also showed that the residents of Silicon Valley state would be taxed annually an estimated US$2,168 each.

The poorest state, on the other hand, will be established from Central Valley, and if the proposal will be approved will have a per capita income of US$35,510 and each person would bring in an income tax of US$472 annually.

Another state, Jefferson, named after the late president, will have an income per capita of about US$36,147 and a tax per person per year of US$463.

The middle bracket of the states when it came to the income will be West California, whose per capita income will be US$44,900 and income tax per person annually of US$1,116.

Tim Draper, the billionaire from Silicon Valley, has shown support for the proposal and submitted over 1.3 million signatures of other supporters to State Secretary Debrea Bowen in July.

Those who are against the proposal said it will not easily be voted for by the people, and even if it gets approved through a referendum, the U.S. Congress will still have to give its approval.
