'American Idol' season 2 finalist, Josh Gracin, posted a suicide note on Facebook last Thursday, blaming his wife for his woes.

Fortunately, he was found alive in his home in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Gracin was then placed on psychiatric hold and is currently being observed.

Gracin took to Facebook to tell his friends and fans that he has loved his wife for 17 years. He wrote that he took ownership of all the mistakes he has made, but his wife, Ann, refused to forgive him and instead left him when he needed her the most.

The 33-year old singer then wrote that he loves and appreciates all those who have supported him, saying, "You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most ... Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music ... Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye."

Gracin has deleted the message after posting it.

The message led to a frantic search for the singer. His wife Ann was with him in their Tennessee home at that time.

His manager, Amy Macintosh, assured everyone that Gracin was alive and he was with his family.

Gracin was set to appear at Live on the Levee in Charleston this Friday. However, the said show has been cancelled.

The singer was also set to perform in Michigan, Omaha and Louisville this month, but there is still no word about whether or not those will be cancelled as well.

Gracin, finishing fourth on "American Idol" in 2003,signed with Lyric Street Records.

Ironically, his first single was entitled "I Want to Live". The said song reached the fifth spot on the country charts.

His next single "Nothin' to Lose" shot to Number 1.

In a previous interview, Gracin shared his feeling about the changing trends in the music industry. Although he has released albums in the past, he shared "Albums aren't selling. Why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on one record when you can release an EP every couple of months and do pretty much the same thing?"

The show recently lost a finalist earlier this month. Season 7 finalist, Michael Johns, passed away at the age of 35 last August 1.
