Starting Nov. 19 till Monday, Nov. 23, 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' players will experience a 'Double XP Weekend' for their multiplayer and zombies as 'Treyarch' deployed an update to the game.

The feature is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC users. However, this event will apparently not be running on either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version of the game.

Treyarch Studio Design Director David Vonderhaar announced on Twitter that Black Ops 3 players would see a 1.03 update being rolled out regularly. He added that this might be one of the reasons behind today's short-lived connectivity issues.

This new update will enable hotfix changes affecting spawn points in free for all with more than eight players. The update will be 600MB in size for the PlayStation 4 and 900MB for Xbox One.  WWN Tradio reported that the rest of the changes for this update are undocumented. But based on Vonderhaar's earlier statement, the update will combine the hotfixes that arrived over the last week.

Vonderhaar told fans "Version 1.03 is starting to be deployed." He explained that "As soon as things settle in here, we'll get you a link to the patch notes."

Activision recently announced that Black Ops 3 for the November release exceeded $550 million in worldwide sales in its first three days alone.

According to Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, "Call of Duty is more than a game, it is a year round passion for a growing base of millions of fans and it is only gaining momentum."

The Call of Duty: Black Ops series is the most played in Call of Duty history with almost 100 million registered players online, compared to the quantity of users who played 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' and 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II.'
