There are speculations that there could be an important announcement about Super Smash Bros. at Game Awards 2015. 

New playable characters are reportedly set to be released for popular fighting video game "Super Smash Bros 4" on the Wii U and 3DS platforms. Game developer Nintendo recently surprised fans with this pleasant news, according to Master Herald.

The new character is none other than cult favorite Cloud Strife. This weapon-wielding character is being taken from the role playing game "Final Fantasy 7."

Cloud Strife was not on the list of new characters rumors claim were going to be introduced to the game. This character was also not present anywhere in the speculations and rumors which floated for a long time regarding the upcoming DLC of "Super Smash Bros 4."

However, gamers have welcomed this sweet surprise from developers Nintendo. Cloud Strife is a pretty popular character in comparison with the other characters which were being initially speculated for the new DLC of "Super Smash Bros 4."

According to iDigital Times, Nintendo revealed abut the addition of Cloud Strife to the game when they released a trailer of "Super Smash Bros 4" DLC. This trailer was released during the recent Nintendo Direct event. The trailer showcased the main character from "Final Fantasy VII" getting into action on "Super Smash Bros 4" DLC.

The video footage was titled as "Cloud Storms into Battle." It showed that Cloud Strife absolutely ready for battles in "Super Smash Bros 4."

The video also showed the hero showing off his power in a battle against all the playable characters which are currently present in the roster of "Super Smash Bros 4."  Cloud Strife was shown giving the ultimate beat down to each and every playable character in "Super Smash Bros 4".
