After weeks of speculation and anticipation, tech giant Microsoft finally revealed the list of Xbox 360 games that will find their way into the Xbox One console through the Backwards Compatibility program.

The list includes 16 Xbox 360 games. Critics cited that not much of the games are high profile but the list still includes some very interesting titles.

The following games are part of the list:

  • Braid
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Doritos Crash Course
  • Fable III
  • Halo: Reach
  • Hydro Thunder
  • Iron Brigade
  • Kane and Lynxh 2
  • Motocross Madness
  • Ms. Pac Man
  • Peggle
  • Portal: Still Alive
  • Spelunky
  • Splosion Man
  • Ticket to Ride
  • Zuma's Revenge

While most gamers would say that the list lacks star power, it is important to note that "Halo: Reach" and "Fable 3" are part of it. Both games were widely popular by the time they were released. The two games were both commercially and critically successful. A review by IGN gave "Halo: Reach" and "Fable 3" a score of 9.5 and 8.5, respectively.

The latest batch of video games that made it to the Backwards Compatibility list are mostly digital games, also known as Xbox Live Arcade Games. These titles are "Zuma's Revenge," "Doritos Crash Course," "Ticket to Ride," "Braid," "Splosion Man," "Hydro Thunder," "Spelunky," "Iron Brigade," "Motocros Madness," "Ms. Pac-Man," " Portal: Still Alive" and "Peggle."

The latest list of video games that support Backwards Compatibility is evidence to the ongoing effort of Microsoft to port old games into its newest flagship console. The tech giant added that it is working with developers in order to make sure that the Backwards Compatibility program is update regularly.

Despite its considerable amount of games that are added into the Backwards Compatibility program, gamers are still hoping that Microsoft could notch up its effort a bit higher. Gamers are expecting prominent video game titles to finally make its way into the program and not only arcade games.
