OnePlus 2 Mini recently appeared on a major benchmarking site, sparking rumors that its release date is near.

The device is speculated to be a compact version of OnePlus 2. The specs of the device reportedly appeared on the benchmarking site known Geek Bench.

It is expected that OnePlus Mini 2 will sport a display which is smaller than 5 inches. It is rumored to be powered with a Snapdragon 810 chipset. OnePlus 2 was launched this year and with the strong rumors about its compact version coming soon, it seems that the company wants to take up the competition with other smartphone giants.

The benchmarking website Geek Bench reportedly listed that the upcoming smartphone will sport a smaller screen at 4.6 inches and a screen resolution of 1080 pixels.

OnePlus Mini 2  smartphone is reportedly powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, along with an Adreno 430 GPU. It will also come with a RAM of 4 GB. OnePlus 2 Mini may reportedly sport a 13 mega pixel rear camera along with a 5 mega pixel front camera.

It could also be armed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. All in all, the specs are pretty much similar to the parent device, OnePlus 2. The only difference so far seems to be that in the size of the screen. It was rumored that the compact version will not be equipped with HDR and NFC features.

According to the listing, however, OnePlus Mini 2 is not equipped with NFC and HDR capabilities. The device will be perfect for users who seek smaller sized phones like the iPhone 5.
