Football Transfer News: Inter Milan’s Colombian Midfielder Fredy Guarin on the Brink of Move to China

Inter Milan's Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin momentarily delayed the decision on whether he will continue his career in China, now player is reporterly being tempted to accepting the proposal of the big-time spender Jiangsu Suning.

The 29-year-old midfielder initially hesitated to accept the huge transfer offer the wealthy Chinese outfit put on the table as the La Beneamata man prefers moving to Europe and wishes for a big club to sign him.

However, according to Football Italia, Inter Milan is anxious to sell the Colombian footballer, as the club would be allowed to fund a move for the Italian midfielder Roberto Soriano of Sampdoria from the reported fee of $16 to $19 million that the Jiangsu Suning will pay to acquire the services of Guarin.

Now, the Colombian midfielder is said to be close to accepting the switch to the East. He is expected to sign n $8.5 million per season, four-year deal and Jiangsu Suning by Thursday.

Guarin, along with his agent Marcelo Ferreyra, will receive a large signing-on bonus that is considered key to the offer after the Nerazzurri agreed to a $16 million transfer fee, according to Gazzetta World.

Guarin started his career with the Columbian professional football club Envigado. He also had a short spell in Argentina and played with Saint-Etienne in France for two years.

His name became known with FC Porto in Portugal, where he won ten major titles in the four seasons of his stint with the club, including three national championships and the 2011 Europa League.

Guarin was part of the Colombian national team that competed in the 2011 Copa America and at the 2014 World Cup.

Jiangsu Suning has been very active in the transfer window. Reports have surfaced that Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano is now in China to undergo medicals with the club after AC Milan accepted a $15 million offer for the player.
