Former Los Angeles Clippers point guard and now Zhejiang Golden Bulls floor general Willie Warren is the recipient of the latest Player of the Week award after the completion of round 32 games in the 2015-2016 Chinese Basketball Association.

The 26-year-old American, who had a one-season stint with the NBA's Clippers in 2010-2011 when Vinny Del Negro was still coaching the squad, snagged the Asia-basket weekly recognition after leading the Golden Bulls to a tough 138-133 overtime victory versus the Tianjin Gold Lions at the Yiwu Gymnasium on Jan. 22.

In the game, Warren recorded an incredible stat line of 69 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists in 53 minutes of playing time for head coach Zhang Yongjun's side to capture the award.

The former Oklahoma standout shot a highly impressive 14-of-26 (53.8 percent) from the field, including 8-of-14 (57 percent) from three-point range. He also sank 17-of-21 free throws (81 percent) en route to a notable high-scoring night.

Warren is gradually stamping himself as the Golden Bulls' number one player even as he was just signed by Zhejiang in August of last year.

This season, the Dallas, Texas native is third in the CBA in scoring with an average of 34.4 points. He has also established himself as currently one of the deadliest shooters in China with an overall field goal percentage of 57.2 percent and a 45.0 percent clip from beyond the arc.

Warren was a second-round pick, 54th overall, by the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2010 NBA Draft. He played 19 games for Del Negro that season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.4 assists in very little playing time.

Eventually, he was sent to the NBA D-League squads Bakersfield Jam and Rio Grande Valley Vipers in 2011 and 2012.

After failing to qualify in the NBA after his D-League stints, he went overseas and played in Israel for Maccabi Rishon LeZion in 2012-2013 then to Hungary with Szolnoki Olaj KK in 2013-2014.

Warren had a short stint with Italian club Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna before he was first signed by a Chinese basketball team, NBL's Chongqing Fly Dragon, who later became known as the Beikong Fly Dragons when the team was promoted to the CBA in September 2014.
