Specs-wise, the Honor 5X sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution (Full HD). The phone runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system along with the EMUI 3.1.

Under the hood, the Honor 5X packs a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit.

The chipset is accompanied by 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and an impressive 3,000 mAh non-removable battery.

In addition, the Huawei Honor 5X comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back that allows users to easily unlock the device. The sensor can also act as a home button and can enable users to open recent apps and notification, including answering calls and capturing images by different gesture controls.

In the U.S. market, the Huawei Honor 5X costs $199.99 via the company's official Honor shop, as well as on Newegg.com and Amazon.com. In Europe, the Honor 5X is currently available in the U.K., the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

In the meantime, the Chinese giant is planning to launch a "Premium Edition" of the Honor 7 handset in Europe sometime in March. The original Huawei Honor 7 was first unveiled back in June 2015.
