The third installment of the Kung Fu Panda series entitled 'Kung Fu Panda 3' has topped the Chinese, Canadian and North American box office for the second week in a row.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' exceeded the projected $21 million in ticket sales in both Canada and the United States during the Superbowl Weekend and sold more than $69 million over a 10-day period.

Meanwhile, in China, tickets sales for 'Kung Fu Panda 3' reached $15 million last weekend alone. 'The New Years Eve of Old Lee' earned second place by raking in $2 million and in third place is 'Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Road Chip' earning a mere $1.4 million. Meanwhile,' Star Wars: The Force Awakens' still holds the fourth spot in the Chinese box office with $1.2 million in sales.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' follows the beloved Panda named Po as he sets out on a journey to continue his "legendary adventures of awesomeness" as he heads home to his adoptive father Mr. Ping, at his noodle shop, but Po gets upset because he finds that another panda named Li Chan has broken his dumpling-eating record. Po is later called on for help after 'The Valley of Peace' is attacked by former Kung Fu Masters.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' stars Jack Black, Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu and Kate Hudson, who plays Pos love interest in the third Kung Fu Panda franchise.

There is no news as to whether or not a fourth installment of the franchise will be released within the next coming years, but seeing that 'Kung Fu Panda 3' has been a huge success, this is unlikely to be the last time we will see Po on the big screen.
