First year Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp has already set his eyes on the Reds' roster overhaul he is going to initiate this summer even as there is still more than two months left in the current English Premier League season, recent reports say.

Metro indicated that the 48-year-old bench tactician had "admitted that he's already planning for next season at Anfield" after he "inherited an unbalanced squad from Brendan Rodgers" in the middle of the current campaign.

The report also said that Klopp, who led Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to two straight German top flight championships in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012, chose "to wait until the summer" to try and create the team in his own image even when he was given enough funds to do it during the January transfer window.

The "eccentric boss" had recently confirmed that he is already in the "planning process" for Liverpool's come back next season and that the club will be quite busy in the upcoming summer window.

"Yes we are planning for next season," the German manager attested. "Clearly we plan for next season. We have to wait for the right decision and we have to think about a lot of things."

He was quick to say that there are no concrete plans as of the moment, though, and that the team is not only working for the present but more importantly for the future as well.

"There is nothing to say yet. It is not I can say that we are close to this decision or that decision. But we work the whole day and it is not just preparing for games," Klopp said.

"We don't have to be first or anything (in the transfer market), but in the end we have to plan for the future and that is what we are doing," he added.

Liverpool's 2015 summer window has been "a mixed bag but largely disappointing" for the Reds under Rodgers, according to Caught Offside.

Last summer, the team's sale of winger Raheem Sterling to Manchester City allowed them to gather in funds as well as the move of midfielder Steven Gerrard to MLS club LA Galaxy. However, their acquisitions striker Christian Benteke (£32.5 million) and winger Roberto Firmino (£21.3 million) have both disappointed the club and its fans this season.
