Apple is thought to be planning to release a new iPad Pro with the iPhone Special Edition (SE) on March 21 and rumors have it that the upcoming 9.7-inch iPad Pro will have specs and functionality similar to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but with the addition of an improved camera.

The iPad Air 2 and the iPad Pro, which were released in October 2014 and November last year, respectively, both come with 8 MP cameras. However, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is expected to feature an impressive 12 MP camera which has already been featured on the iPhone 6S. It is also expected to sport a single LED flash.

Since the 9.7-inch iPad Pro comes in a smaller size, it will be easier to grip while taking photos and it only makes sense that Apple will offer an enhanced camera on it. The iPad Pro's 12 MP camera will have a 4K resolution support for video recording and a front camera for FaceTime and selfies. Apple is expected to unveil an optimized Smart Keyboard cover for the upcoming tablet.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is rumored to sport an Apple A9X chipset with 4 GB of RAM and Apple Pencil stylus support with a screen that features anti-glare and brightness improvements. There are also speculations that the iPad Pro will offer quad speakers and a Smart Connector for a Smart Keyboard. Along with the new iPad Pro and iPhone SE, Apple is thought to also be gearing to reveal new band options for the Apple Watch.
