Eastern Conference top dwelling team Cleveland Cavaliers avenged a recent hideous defeat to Washington Wizards with a smooth sailing 108-83 win at the Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night.

Cleveland's main man LeBron James, who shifted to a power forward position, registered another double-double performance with 19 points and 13 rebounds to go along with 7 assists and 3 steals to lead the Cavaliers to their 43rd win in 60 games.

"It was great for us," said Cavs coach Tyronn Lue, who rested Kevin Love and put Iman Shumpert in the starting lineup as a small forward. "The guys bought into playing that way, that style of basketball. LeBron did a great job just spreading the floor, running and setting picks. And when he gets the rebound and takes it off the glass, it's tough for teams to get back and get matched."

Kyrie Irving topped the entire scorer with 21 points with 8 assists and 5 rebounds, while shooting 8 for 18 and connecting 3 of 6 for the three-point range in 31:40 minutes of playing time for Cleveland.

Timofey Mozgov and Matthew Dellavedova chipped in 14 points and 12 points respectively for the Cavs, who are currently the third-best ball squad in the league, edging Oklahoma City, who have a 42-20 record.

With the loss, the Wizard missed the opportunity to move into a tie with the Detroit Pistons, who currently hold a 31-30 record, for the eighth and final playoff spot in the tight Eastern Conference. Washington is sitting at the tenth place with 30-31, while Chicago is 30-30.

John Wall had 17 and Markieff Morris scored 13 points for the Wizards, who snapped a four-game winning streak.
