Rhimes and the top characters from her popular TV series have shown support for Democrat Presidential Candidate Hilary Clinton.

Writer-producer Shonda Rhimes and three female characters from her hit TV series How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, and Grey's Anatomy released a video on Thursday showing support for Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The video coincided with the Republican's debate, and not to mention that Thursdays is time for the Rhimes' world at ABC Studios as the line-up of her abovementioned programs play.

While crisis management superstar Olivia Pope was critically lecturing President Fitzgerald Grant III about sex and its complications, and while Clinton's arch-rivals speak ill of her on CNN, Rhimes and her ladies were speaking on YouTube in favor of Clinton, describing the former US First Lady as both "brilliant" and "complex."

Rhimes and her series' main characters - Kerry Washington (Scandal), Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), and Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy) - shared and promoted Clinton's ideas about empowerment and social justice.

"Everyday, I play a brilliant, complex, overqualified, get-it-done woman who obsessively fights for justice, who cares, who gives a voice to the voiceless, who gets knocked down and who always gets back up," says Washington, followed by Rhimes who says, "I make television filled with the kind of characters I imagine we all can be."

The women then said the following words in unison, "Strong, but flawed. Human, but extraordinary. Our characters are on television, but the real world, the real world has Hillary Clinton - a bona fide, rolls up her sleeves, fights for what's right, in it for you, won't back down, champion for all us. That's why I'm with Hillary. Join us."

On her Twitter page, Clinton posted a message thanking Rhimes and her girls for a "power line-up" and for being part of her presidential campaign team.
