Singer-Actress Madonna dressed up as a sad clown during a free concert performance in Melbourne on Thursday. Up to 1,400 fans and spectators who filled the Forum Theater witnessed a seemingly different Madonna during the entire show which the singer called Tears of a Clown. The concert is reported to have started behind its schedule as Madonna was four hours late.

The strange performance featured a number emotional songs that Madonna dedicated to her 15-year old son with film-maker ex-husband Guy Ritchie, Rocco John Ritchie. Pictures of Rocco were shown during her performance of the song Intervention with emotional lines that said, "I got to save my baby because he makes me cry, I got to make him happy, I got to teach him how to fly."

The singer is currently involved in a legal dispute with her ex-husband over custody for their son. A few days ago, Madonna expressed her frustration over her current custody dilemma on Instagram by posting a mysterious message saying "Same... teach me how to pray." The line was lifted from her song Devil Pray from her latest album Rebel Heart. Many fans and followers have interpreted the message as a reference to the on-going court battle.

The young Ritchie is living with his father in London at the moment, following a judge decision saying that the boy shall be at his father's care until the case is resolved. Judge Deborah Kaplan ordered the arrangement, which seem to have disappointed Madonna as an earlier ruling made by the same judge ordered Rocco to return to his mother's house in New York.

At the ex-couple's latest hearing, however, both agreed on the arrangement for the betterment of their son. Rocco will continue living with his father and will also study in a school that both Guy Ritchie and Madonna chose.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are set to appear again in court sometime in June.
