During an interview with The New York Times on Tuesday, Carey mentions that the program is not actually a reality show and refuses to call it such - ending speculations and comparison of her upcoming program with Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

This, however, should not disappoint Carey's fans as a big deal of her reality will also be shown in the program, which includes her recent tour in South Africa and Europe. The show will also highlight the singer's preparation and planning for her upcoming wedding to Crown Resorts business mogul and billionaire James Packer. The 48 years old tycoon has been engaged to the 47 years old singer since January. Prior to this, Carey was married to actor-rapper-comedian Nick Cannon for six years. Carey has two children with Cannon - Monroe and Moroccan.

Carey said that her fiancé James, being a businessman, is not really into tapings, singing, and dancing with her crew. The hit maker did not rule the appearances of her twins at her shows however, adding that their exposure would be kept in moderation and not something in the "exploitative" level.

Bunim / Murray Productions will produce Mariah's World with Jeff Jenkins as its executive producer. Filming for the show began this month and is expected to air late this year.
