The match, held at the Nou Camp in Barcelona, completed the Blaugranas 5-1 aggregate victory over the Gunners. Barcelona had won Arsenal 2-0 in their first meeting at the Emirates Stadium on Feb. 23rd.

The Big Three - five-time Ballon d'Or awardee Lionel Messi, Brazilian captain Neymar, and Uruguayan sharpshooter Luis Suárez - each scored a goal at the 18th, 65th, and 88th minutes respectively to complete the three-goal haul of Luis Enrique's side.

The trio have scored a combined 106 goals for Barça this season and true to expectations Barcelona looked invincible all through the match.

Arsenal defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny scored a consolation goal at the 51st minute for the Gunners to temporarily equalize the match - raising hopes of a possible comeback win for Arsene Wenger's boys.

However, Neymar and Messi's goals in the second half crushed all their expectations as the Catalonia giants finished their 38th consecutive unbeaten game, an all-time record in world football.

According to the BBC, "no side has won back-to-back European Cups since AC Milan in 1989 and 1990." Barcelona has the chance to be the first club to achieve it in the Champions League era aside from winning a second consecutive treble.

Barça is currently on top of the 2015-2016 La Liga table with a win-loss-draw record of 24-2-3 and 75 points, eight points adrift of second-running squad Atletico Madrid with only nine games remaining in the season.

Barcelona is set to compete in the final of this season's Copa Del Rey versus Sevilla FC on May 22nd at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid.
