Sources say that the 77-year old comedian and actor will be playing the role of a patriarch of a multi-generation family. However, it has also been reported that Bill Cosby has only been recently scheduled to meet with the head writer for the production this August and that the new show is still on its early stages of development.

According to a statement Bill Cosby has released, he is thankful to NBC for giving him the opportunity to work on TV again, also explaining that the show will be a generational situation. He has confirmed that he will be meeting with Mike O'Malley, the head writer. The comedian also refused to divulge more.

Bill Cosby has also expressed his concern regarding the plethora of choices people have on television. He said that in the past, 10 million people were only  subjected to shows' test runs, particularly in the 1980s, but today, 10 million people can help one's career and show stay on a certain network for a long time.

According to previous reports, in the past, Bill Cosby appeared in approximately 140 shows a year. While it might sound like it's tedious work, the comedian explained a different approach to it that made it seem like fun.

Despite the busy schedule before, Bill Cosby explained that he still gets at least 4 days off a week which is pretty much advantageous.

Additionally, Bill Cosby will be coming back to Canada to appear on a show near Toronto on August 29, Friday.
