"Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" developer, The Chinese Room confirmed on Friday that it's PC version is on the works.

Initially, the hints for the upcoming version were found three months ago from the patch notes in AMD's new graphic drivers compatibility with the game and on Steam's database. The Brighton-based developer shut down rumors and confirmed the upcoming release via Twitter.

The game, released in August last year, was developed by SCE Santa Monica Studio and The Chinese room.

Fans shared that they got into the game because of its environment setting of rural England along with its interesting story narration, according to Engadget.

Creative director Dan Pinchbeck shared a part of their plan for transition.

"We always wanted to get it onto PC as it's kind of our home turf and we've got a lot of really passionate, supportive fans on PC," according to PC Gamer.

"We kept making sure all the way through development that Sony knew that we could do it, and that we really wanted to do it," Pinchbeck added.

"Around the time Rapture came out on PS4 there must have been an internal discussion at their end, as suddenly it became a possibility, so we jumped at the chance."

On the other hand, the specifications of the game have improved especially its resolution. Players can now control the framerate cap.

More accessibility functions were also added in the gameplay. New features include crosshair option for people vulnerable to motion sickness, a one-button-tilt for players with mobility problems, and a visual assistance for those who are hearing impaired.

"Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" developer's goal is to make the accessibility functions work to all their players whether they're using a mouse, controller, or keyboard.

Although the project has been confirmed, fans have to wait for further announcement for its official release date.
