 Meizu MX5e Smartphone Launched in China for CNY 1,699

(Photo : YouTube) The Meizu MX5e smartphone is currently listed on the company official website store priced at CNY 1,699 (USD $262.54).

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has launched its latest device called the MX5e in China for 1,699 yuan. The MX5e smartphone is the successor to the MX5 handset, which was also launched in the Chinese market earlier this year.

The Meizu MX5e smartphone is almost similar to the MX5 device but with a cheaper price tag and features toned-down specifications. Unfortunately, the availability outside the country of the smartphone is not yet known.

The Meizu MX5e smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD screen (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super Amoled display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection similar to what is in the MX5 handset. The handheld device is powered by a MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz paired with 3GB of RAM on board. The device supports dual-SIM standby and features a metallic body with physical home button, which also acts as the mTouch 2.0 fingerprint scanner.

In the camera front, the Meizu MX5e smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The handheld device comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage and a 3150 mAh capacity battery inside. The connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, and Micro-USB. The device Android operating system version is not known yet.

Meanwhile, Meizu is expected to launch its upcoming device called the Meizu M3 Note smartphone this week priced at CNY 799. The handset is said to feature a 5.5-inch display screen, Helio X10 MediaTek MT6795 processor, 2GB of RAM, 3200mAh capacity battery, and will come with 16GB/ 32GB storage.
