The Google Nexus 6 release date appears to be set to announce a new direction for the company's software and hardware power. Google is speculated to have a rebrand in its smartphone launch in 2014. It is said that there will be no Nexus 6 but instead, the device will be named Nexus X because of the handset's manufacturer.

Motorola is said to replace LG which previously built both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. Motorola is said to have its imprint on the Nexus X which could be based on a Motorola gadget such as the next-gen Moto X+1. The device could reflect both Motorola and Google's identities. Because Google did not change the Nexus 7 name with its follow-up version with Blade Runner replicants named after the Nexus 6, some tech websites also refer the upcoming device as the Nexus 5 2014.

A lot of large tech companies have only one flagship smartphone launch each year and Google is just like that with the Nexus line. Tipster @evleaks twitted that the Android Silver may come in February 2015 as an LG device. However, Android claimed that the Nexus X will launch in 2014 with a 5.5-inch display like the LG G3, set to be out by November.

Because of its high-end features and build, the Nexus X or Nexus 6 release date could go live on the Google Play Store with a $500 price. According to TK Tech News, the device could cost about 419 Euros. The Nexus X or Nexus 6 is said to have a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 resolution and 534 ppi, 64-bit processor, Octa-core Media Tek processor, IP67-certified water and dust resistance and fingerprint sensor.
